The Smoky Bay Jetty turns 100 years old this year.

Over the last few years the Friends of the Smoky Bay Jetty have raised funds and with help from many volunteers have restored the last 60 plus meters which had remained dilapidated and unused since 1969, Three double fishing shelters are currently under construction and new lighting and handrails will be fitted in the very near future.

On the weekend of the 20th to the 23rd of April a huge celebration/fund raising weekend is planned to officially open the new works and celebrate the 100 year birthday of what can only be discribed as one of Australia's most unique jettys.
